Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of the attached warning dialog? It appears to have happened after I installed Simtra PathPlanner software. A repair of the AutoCAD installation did not resolve it. Note that the referenced directory path is valid and that when the dialog is dismissed AutoCAD operates normally.

Using AutoCAD 2012 on Windows 7 64-bit.

Thanks,
Dave.

My second guess would be something in the registry. I would start looking for anything with "Simtra PathPlanner" in the registry key. A search on "Smithra" might turn up something.

You say the referenced directory path is valid. Are you talking about the target of the shortcut (.lnk) in the warning dialog?
IOW, what does that .lnk file point to, and does _that_ exist?

The thought that occurs to me is the use of parentheses in the path -- which is something i've never tried to do, Experience has shown me that non-alphanumeric characters can cause odd problems with Acad, do you have any other paths with parentheses in the name that work?

Thanks, All, for your guidance. I have solved the issue now, and it was as simple as deleting the .lnk file from the template directory.

I have never had issues with directory names containing the "(" or ")" symbols before... in fact, have used them successfully for many years with a variety of software programs. This event must have had something to do with the PathPlanner installation or shutdown since the error showed up on my next run of AutoCAD. That's when this new .lnk file showed up. I've submitted a case to Simtra (PathPlanner) now along with the solution.
