Ive got a spaceball that I want to have only 2D motion enabled.....
I am assuming that I can just add a line to the acad.lsp file to accomplish this.....

This is the command:
magellan_2dmotion

what do I need to add?

Unfortunately I don't have a solution to your problem, but I am curious as to how the 'Spaceball' performs as a 3d device?

I have seen them advertised in a few different places and they look like a pretty good idea, but as yet I have not had the opportunity to test drive one.

It works great depending on the sensitivity......some say that the slightest touch
zooms too far out of the spot you wish to work. Personally, I have no problems with the device, and to each his own. If you get one, make sure to get the USB version. There is an application that allows you to also use it to scroll/zoom in MS office.....unfortunately for me, there is no such support for the serial version which I have...bummer!
