Silt Fence Linetype

Is there a way to put a background mask or use wipeout in creating a linetype for silt fence? Below is what I have used in the past. "CIRC1" is a shape file I use as the circle around the text SF. I need to have any background behind the circle masked to display the SF symbol.

Not with a linetype. You could make a block for the SF symbol masking the text or using wipeout then use the measure command to place them along the line.
