NEW AREA PLAN IN BUILDING DESIGN SUITE 2013

Hi all, I have installed the new Building Design Suite 2013 and need to make a new area plan, but when it is done, that area plan appears under Coordination node in the Project Browser and not as before, under Area Plans node . Is it a new feature of this Suite?

Nope, it's an old feature - you'll find that the RVT's file's Browser Organization has been customized. In the ribbon: View / User Interface (far right) / Browser Organization.

Take note someone probably did this for a reason. If you go and change it, you're going to upset someone else. Find out why it was done, perhaps the reason could actually help you as well.
