Converting existing layers in to new....!

Hi

Does any one know any tricks to convert the existing layers into new layer

i want to change all old layers according into new.

again i would say i want to convert all the old layers in to new layer.
also want to change all line type color according to new layer.. is it possible.....!

actually we ware working on shop drawings. and yesterday i have receive the new layer dwg and boss says
that use the new layer. and convert all shop drawings according to new layer.
the new layers .dwg are enclosed here. please solve my problem.

There is any lisp for this ?

Save that as a dws file, and run the Standards tool to translate the layers

Granted, it's an old article. But it still works. LAYTRANS - read the Help file for your version of AutoCAD. This might do the trick for you.

Sir i know about laytrans command. but i have more then 50 layers in my dwg. and have alot of dwg to change.
if u have lisp to change all layer (name,type,color) to standard layer which i attached.

it will help me alot.

and we ware using designer drawings. now the designers want to change his layers.
and they send us new layers.
we already have layers. and they want to change these layers into new standard layers.
and i have alot of dwg to be changed.

can any body help me how to easy change these layers into new layer.
i am attached both dwg the "ATKINS" dwg is new layer.
and the "SHOP DWG" is other one i want to change the layers of SHOP dwg to ATKINS layers.
