I'm creating some 3D views of a building for presentation purposes and I don't want to show the basement. Does anyone have any ideas how to turn just this level and the associated walls off? I've thought of using worksets but this will turn the basement off in section and plan views as well.

Thanks

Try using a Section Box, and pull the bottom clip plane up conceal the basement in your 3D view. Check the box for section box under Properties of the 3D view. Make sure section boxes are visible in Annotation Categories in VG in your 3D view.

Are you going to export to 3d DWG for use in something like 3dStudio? If so I don't think section boxes export, neither do view crops.

You might also use filters in the VG dialog to turn off some objects by a property (e.g. adding something to their Comments and using a filter which "contains" a specific word). That way you can even control stuff like internal walls.
