Hello there,
Im new to the forums here so I thought I would start with what I hope will be a simple question.
Anybody know of a way to copy and increment text? i used to have a lisp routine years ago that did this but I haven't been able to find it again and I am
several laptops removed from it.
Thanks,

I use an increment lisp regularly, I think I found it here on AUGI. It also allows the addition of a prefix and/or suffix.

No problem! That thing has saved me boatloads of time over the past few years.

Also there's express tool "TCOUNT" that is suitable for certain cases when you need to add increasing number to text fields.

Thanks jpo82, I just found that in the Express Tools Tab. I now have options!

I've noticed this is something that works well with the numeric side of things, but does anyone know of any that will allow you to add the alpha side into the equation? Specifically I am often editing text on instruments to read in alphanumeric order. So like 301A, 301B, 301C, ..., 301Z, 302A... etc...
