We switched our 1 seat of AutoCAD over to Autodesk Design Suite Premium, which includes all flavors of AutoCAD and Revit, along with 3DS Max and some other stuff. Has anyone tried downloading the blasted thing from Subscription Center? The website says it's a 20 GB download  but when I started the download in the ADSK Download Manager, it says the file is 48 GB    Even at a blazing 17 Mb/sec download speed we're getting (over 2 MB per second), it's still going to take over 2 hours. I tried it yesterday, had to leave it running when I left the office, and for some reason it failed or got cancelled or something.
Then there's the fact that our server has over 50 GB free at the moment, but the download manager said it needed over 30 GB additional space to download the file. So I can't even download it to our server. I'm having to download it to my workstation and have no idea how I'm going to transfer it. In my experience our network seems to flake when trying to transfer several GB of data in one shot.
It appears that the data on our server (mirrored drives in RAID 1) is extremely fragmented. Could this be why the download manager says we need 30 GB more free space? I'm guessing so since it probably wants 48 GB of contiguous space which probably doesn't exist right now.
But still, the file size is just ghastly! Would be nice if they could break it up somehow into a few smaller files.
