angled section cuts?

We are cutting a section through a curved space and have used the split segment tool to have it follow the curve. This has made for a really complicated zig zag section cut. I was thinking that I could use a reference section cut to simplify the cut line but I am unable to make the outline that I want. Any suggestions? I have attached an image of what I would like to achieve.

Not a great solution, but you can create multiple sections and line them up on the sheet. That's what we do for curving sections like this.
