Hi all, I have installed the new Revit Building Design Suite with all the disciplines in one package, and realized that the engineers can work in the architectural model now. This could be a change in the way consultants have worked until now.

Any advice will be helpfull.

Thanks in advance, Alex

Unless your project is really small (less than 5,000 SF, keep separate files, one for each discipline (although I see MPE together as a file very often). The industry is moving towards a federated model and the separate models will help facilitate work with a contractor.

Separate models also allow for distinct workflows and processes among the disciplines and helps to delineate the responsibilities of each party.

For a small commercial building or house with a 2-3 person project team I could see the benefit of a single file. Anything larger our more complex and separate models its the way to go.
