View Full Version : Can't copy Layouts with Designcenter

For some reason I came up with a set of drawings here at work that won't let me copy Layouts from one drawing to another with Designcenter.
I tried to copy layouts in a different project and it worked fine. So there's something funky about only these files. Also, I was able to create new layouts solely within the drawings.
Anyone have an idea of what I can trouble shoot?
We're using ADT2005, but I posted it here because i think it's a Acad 2005 issue.

Hi
Have you checked those drawing files for errors -
Audit
Recover
etc.
Have a good one, Mike

Yes I have. Nothing. No errors.
One more clue. If I drag and drop the layout icon, the command line prompt actually states that the layout has been added , but nothing shows up. If i double click on the layout icon I get a blank commandline prompt, basically a simple return.
Weird huh?

Are you dropping it as a tweaked layer? Maybe a layer that is turned off?

Is there a relationship between some layer and the layout?
Sorry, maybe I missed something, i've only had two cups of coffee so far this morning . . . but that's what I thought I read . . .
I've been arguing with the same problem with some of my drawings, and it seems to be spreading.(started out as only one, but now there are 4 documented drawings that we cannot copy information out of using the Design Center)
We're running MAP 3D 2005, and I don't recall getting these kinds of errors until I started using some of the MAP surface tools. I've been trying to find a corelation between the use of surfaces and the error.
