What is Accoreconsole?

I think it's part of cloud. Ever since I enable the cloud features, and logged in, I've had nothing but trouble with drawings.

I'm working off a fresh install of windows 7 64 bit on what I consider to be a reasonably current machine.

It's a core i5 2500k with 16 Gb of ram.

I can end up with more than one accoreconsole running taking up 25% processing each.

I've already had one set of drawings corrupted.

I continually get "AutoCAD component has stopped working...." and the accoreconsole processes jump in and out of task manager.

Anyone else have trouble with these?

Saving is brutally slow. The autosave will hang my system up for four of five seconds, which doesn't sound like much, but it should be 1/100th of that based on the last 15 years of my career.

Any tips?

Thanks.

You've already gone astray... Perhaps these blog entries will help to clarify:

IIRC, the cloud cruft shows up as the adsync.exe process in Task Manager. Since I never installed it at home, and the company can't, I don't know if you can uninstall that separately or not.

747.

So when my autocad is hanging up, saving slowly, and failing to open drawings, and giving me the error that a compenent has stopped working, what's happening?
This is new and seems to have been started by either a fresh install of windows and the Autodesk Building Design Suite, or by me enabling the cloud features and signing in through AutoCAD.

Any ideas?

What happens when you 'disable the cloud features by signing out through AutoCAD'?

It's slow signed out. Is everything cloud disabled when signed out?

Uninstalled Autodesk sync, and the content manager service. Still slow saves.

This might not be anything to do with the cloud. It could be with the Content/Indexing/whatevertheycallit service (doesn't that use the coreconsole?); or with the 3D solid caching; or *maybe* with AEC content versions/DWG versions, or annotation scales being automatically added to objects.
