Hi,
I have created an In-Place-Model of a generic model category. I need the same shape as a conceptual mass.
When I edit-in-place the family and go to the "Family Category and Parameters" window it says that converting to the mass category is "Prohibited".
How can I easely convert it?

Welcome to the forum. About your question, you need to start a mass family, from scratch.

Thanks. Isn't there any trick or workaround that enables to copy-paste geometry or even host the generic model family inside the mass family?

The generic model object that you created is of a different nature than the forms created with the mass template or the generic adaptive template. That's why if you try copy paste to any of those templates, you see this error message "Can't copy elements between families created from "Pattern Based", "Generic Model Adaptive", or "Mass" templates, and other families or Revit projects." So, even if you find a "trick" it might not be a useful trick after all.

Hi,
one workaround could be the following:
export the geometry you want into a cad format
import the cad format into the conceptual mass and use it as reference.
It works for simple geometry.
Hope it works out for you :)
