I'm trying to figure out the best way to make a stair that rises in two perpendicular directions. (A stair in a corner)

I currently have two independant stairs that overlap in the corner, but I'm sure there is a better way I should be doing this. I tried to use the boundary and riser method but didn't end up with anything usable.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum. This should work with the same method, but the boundaries and the risers need to be in the correct places.

Thanks so much for the reply.

I felt like there was an easy solution and after seeing your post I realized I forgot to include one piece of information.

I was trying to use a monolithic stair.

When I use the default Stair 7" riser 11" tread, it works perfectly.
Then I try to change the Type to monolithic, it just disappears and I get the error:
Actual Number of Risers is different from Desired Number of Risers. Add/remove Risers or change Desired Number of Risers in Stairs Properties.

Thanks again for your reply!

I see. The monolithic type gets "confused" with the L shape. Well, in that case, probably you need to model the stair as a family or as a model in-place with a sweep.

Got it. I can do that.

Thanks again!
