My group will be discussing what the benefits are from Autocad 2004 to 2005. We draw electrical substations that deal with electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Which is mostly 2D only and lots of inserting blocks (block tool pallette). We are also trying to use an excel spreadsheet embedded (ole object) in our project drawing list in Autocad 2004, but it won't quite work out for 2004. I heard it will work for 2005, can anyone emphasize more about this, cuz I don't know much of 2005.
thanks

Since your doing electrical schematics you might want to check out AutoCAD Electrical 2005 (http://estore.autodesk.com/dr/sat1/ec_MAIN.Entry10?V1=642608&PN=1&SP=10023&xid=19515&CID=0&DSP=&CUR=840&PGRP=0&CACHE_ID=0).
As for benefits: the Sheet Set Manager is a nice tool.
You might want to hold off on upgrading to 2005. 2006 is just around the corner. Like a couple of months.

As far as I know, OLE objects are still a pain.
