Class Description: With the latest release of ADT, the wall cleanup facility has had a major overhaul. There is no longer any condition that cannot be properly cleaned up! This session will cover all the issues involved in successful wall cleanup. Together, we will explore the \"rules\" of good cleanup: good clean drafting, wall graph display, cleanup radii settings, and wall component priorities. However, as any Release 1 or 2 user can attest, even when you follow all the rules, sometimes those walls just stubbornly refuse to cleanup. After attending this session, you will never be tempted to explode a wall again! Come on, admit it. You\'ve thought about it. (Maybe you\'ve even done it.) But when that deadline is looming, you do what you have to do, right? Come see the magic of manual wall cleanup. When all else fails, we now have Wall Merge. This wonderful command will mean more to your productivity and sanity than almost any other feature in ADT R3.3.

In this course, we will explore the concepts of wall cleanup in several small files prepared specifically to focus on individual aspects of wall cleanup. As we work through the examples, we will be building a list of guidelines to follow when performing and troubleshooting wall cleanup in your projects. These guidelines are summarized at the end of this paper. Feel free to keep it handy for reference. The concepts we will explore are:

Understanding the rules of automatic cleanup Learning to change cleanup parameters Understanding the Graph Display mode. Learning when to use manual cleanup. Understanding wall component cleanup priorities.
