How do I change the areas in rooms

My room is divided by a partition wall. Consequently when I put in a room/area tag, it calculates the area on only one side of the room. How can I change it so that the Room/Area tag does not divide the room because of this partition wall? There must be a way.. no?

Select the offending wall, and under its instance properties, un-check room bounding.
