hi, i have a elecrical symbol library Which name is "semlistxref.dwg". when i used to autocad 2008 version, i xrefed my library file to my drawings.
after that my hole blocks have came into drawings automaticly. i could use these blocks one by one on my drawings. when i have tried to change any block into xref files, all my blocks into my drawings would replaced automaticly.
but i passed new computer and load 64 bit autocad 2012. Now even i putted my xref files to my drawings, i can't insert my blocks from xref files.

if any body to tell me to solition or xref settings about this topic, i'll be very happy.

thank you for your help.

What might be a better way for you is to use design Centre. Open the DC and find the drawing you were going to xref in select it & then you can bring in not only blocks but layers, fonts etc. You can just drag the block or any of the other options into your drawing.

You should make sure the block name isn't part of the drawing. If it is, rename the block and then reinsert the block / xref.

FYI

In Design Center if you right click on the Drawing File (the Xref you were using) you can "Create a Tool Palette" for all the blocks in that drawing as well. You can then control/change the properties for each block (layer, explode, etc)

This is my personal favorite tool.
