Instructor: Chris Bullen – SSE Architecture
Class Description: This class focuses on true sub-object animation techniques using Autodesk® VIZ and 3ds max®. We'll look at animating materials for use in displacement over time, and true geometric deformations that create true sub-object animations. We'll explore specific examples such as animated escalators, trees, fire, water, cloth, and grass. We'll also learn how to create particle systems using the standard Autodesk VIZ toolset. This class will be the same as last year's with the difference being a hands-on lab. We'll also update the material to show some innovative uses and time-saving techniques with features such as the Shell Modifier, UVW Unwrap, and Reactor.
