Does anybody have any tips on how best to go about this. I have been setting one up today by cropping the two plans (ground and ground mezzanine, etc.) and then pasting them into alignment on the sheet, it displaays well enough, but you lose all the dimensions that carry across the cropped out area.

Is it necessary to go back and redo dimensions, half on one view, half on the other? If so, what about dimensions that go the whole way? There is hopefully a better way, please enlighten me!

Cheers,
Wes

Wes I do a great deal of residential houses and have the same problem with all my raised bungalows especially at the foyer area. I agree we must have a neater way to display multi level views easier.

I had posted a problem about this same thing, because my windows and doors would only show on one level even after messin with the cut plane and depth view with no success.

If anyone has any good info please enlighten "us".

P.S. JKendsersky and PeterJ see the other post you replied to for addition feed back to your responses.

In my one and only experience with this I was lucky enough to have a relatively large home so it helped. I showed the "overall" plan on the site plan at 1/8" (granted it was a little wierd not showing all of the windows) and used callouts around level 1 and another around level 1.5 and showed them as totaly separate views on the sheets. The overall dimensions were on the site plan and there were grids/starting points to coordinate the dimensions. It worked well for me, but it was not my preferred way of working.

I've just started CDs on a house with 3 split levels. I have lots of grids defining wall locations also. When I crop the building into 3 separate plans, the grids extend past the crop lines (of course ). This is making it difficult, if not impossible to align the 3 crops into one integrated plan on a sheet.

Should I be using scope boxes instead ?
Anyone got a better solution ?
