Obviously something is wrong with my view settings but I dont know where to go to correct it. All I can see of my front elevation is a tree. I keep pulling the elevation symbol back and forth but nothing seems to work.

In the view properties check the Discipline, it may be set to Architecture. This might explain why you are only seeing a tree. Otherwise, a little more background information on your model and project template might help diagnose the problem...

Do you see your levels? Try turning off the crop region as you may be looking too low.

Have a look in a plan view, where are your elevation symbols relative to the building model? Select the missing elevation, the arrow or tip only. Where is the cut line of the elevation? The annotation and the cut plane of elevations can be separated. This can result in a "section" through a building or a view that shows "nothing" or not much anyway.
