Class Description: The interaction between Autodesk Revit and non-BIM files is a key aspect of the power of Revit. In this lab you’ll learn the process of managing linked building models, linking building models from different building files, positioning the linked file within a Revit project, controlling linked building model visibility, acquiring and publishing coordinates, working with a linked building model, scheduling components of a linked file and managing shared locations. We’ll guide you through it all with tutorials to help you gain a clear understanding of the interaction between Revit and all non-BIM software. This class will benefit both new and Intermediate-level Revit users. Other participants could include those using non Revit software who wish to understand the intricacies of setting up their building files to be imported into a Revit project.
