Hello All,
I'm back with more questions.
I have a drawing showing a Square Symbol in front of a dimension. Don't know what it means.
Thank you in advance.

IME, it means square - most likely a square hole / opening in an otherwise circular object.

Could it be a font issue? Not all symbols are compatible with all fonts, so the font will fill it in with some kind of symbol to replace it.

Best to confirm the intent with the originator of the drawing. Guessing and mechanical drawings with tolerances usually ends with a large hammer and extra dents.

Probably a good idea.
My opinion is it probably is a symbol like plus/minus that wasn't compatible with the font.
Or…
It means “square” calling out that it is square or right angle.

looking again at all the other dimensions I still think that "square" is most likely but dgorsman is correct - ask the originator if possible.
