Curtain wall on mass - TO THE OTHER FACE

I applied the curtain wall on a surface , but I would like apply it on the other face of the surface.

how can I do it?

You dont flip it, you apply it to another face.

I createed a surface, lotfing between 2 lines.
but I want the face to be applied on the OTHER side of the surface.
I tried to apply on both sides, but the facade is always generated at the same face...

The problem is the surface normal. Revit always applies curtain systems based on the normal of the surface. Unfortunately, even though Revit uses surface normals, it doesn't explicitly reveal it to you. I can think of two solutions:

1. If you create a solid volume, instead of just a surface, I think Revit will interpret the outside of the volume as the exterior. Then you will know which way the curtain system will be applied. This is probably the best way.
2. You can create a second curtain system with mullions and panels with reverse offsets from the one you already have. Then it is trial and error to apply them to the surface. Try one system, then if it faces the wrong way, use the other one.

There are probably better ways and maybe even ways to control the direction of the surface normal (like lofting top to bottom versus bottom to top), but I don't know about that. Maybe somebody else can chime in.

I don't think that works with Curtain Walls or Systems (or maybe just Systems... can't remember).

Ah...did not try it with a system....it works with walls...

You're the one who started the thread. Have you tried any of the suggestions? Did anything work?

Solid is definitely the way to go. But unfortunately even in those conditions you might end up with upside down panels. I built a flip arrow in the family to fix that if need be.
