Unable to do multiple grip selections while holding down the shift key

I recently rejoined Augi after a brief absence. I've lost the ability to do multiple grip selections while holding down the shift key. And also have not been able to remove objects from a selection when holding down the shift key. Any ideas on how to correct this?

To add to selection you need TOOLS>SELECTION and tick the "Use shift to add to selection"

Might want to look and the pickadd variable as well.

Hi

The obvious settings to look at are PickAdd & PickFirst, but from my quick testing they don't appear to have an affect on your Shift Key issue / problem (I could not reproduce the behaviour you describe).

Therefore I would suggest you check that the ACAD menu is your Base Menu (System Variable MenuName holds the current Base Menu name).

If it isn't, trying loading the ACAD menu as the Base Menu.

If it is, have you altered the ACAD menu file?

Pickadd & Pickfirst are set to 1 and acad.mnu is the base menu and I have not altered it. I do have custom menus installed.

Hi

Reset your AutoCAD 2005 profile back to "Default".

Restart AutoCAD, do you still experience the Shift Key problem?

If no, start reloading one at a time any Custom / Third Party files you might use, each time Restarting AutoCAD to see if the Shift Key problem reappears.

If yes, check for any Standard AutoCAD Support files that have been altered since installation.

Mike sorry it took me so long to update you on the fix for this problem.

I decided to reload Lddt and that fixed the problem. Then I got an error message concerning Raster Design so I reloaded it. The problem with Lddt returned. So uninstalled Raster and reloaded Lddt and have not had a problem since. But it would be nice to have Raster loaded.

I ran the update and still have the same problem. The only difference is I don't have to uninstall Raster, just unload the menu.
