I am needing to manually separate our floor plans within the browser - into folders like Overall Plans, Unit Plans, or Address Plans. All these drawings will be of the same drawing type of Floor Plans. The only information I can find shows how to add a separate folder parameter under each view, but it will only allow me to create one folder for each type (floor plan, elevation, etc).

Previous posts said to create a new project parameter under the Manage tab called 'Folders' that is an instance-based 'Text' parameter type with 'Views' and 'Sheets' selected. After I have created that, I edited the browser organization, based on Type, Folders, and View Name. Like I said earlier, this only allows me to add one Folder to the floor plan types. Basically, the option still appears on the Properties Palette, but it is grayed-out and cannot be edited. Any ideas?

It is not like Windows Explorer, sorry. The ??? means your floor plans have the new criteria but there is no value assigned to the floor plan views yet. You need to enter Overall Plans in the Properties Palette for each view. The Project Browser just displays the values you assign to views.

You could create a View List (Manage tab » Schedules ▼ View List) to aid in the assignment of the Project Parameter's value. By employing strategic use Sorting/Grouping (with Itemize every instance turned off) you could apply a single value to mutliple Views at once.

Why not simply use different Types instead of a parameter?
