I've inherited a job, and it's using a very large sid file (0.5Gb) as an aerial background. That's connected with FDO, and there is no SDW file that I can locate for this thing.

With a normal image insert, I can use ImageAdjust and face the intensity of the aerial back so it's less obfrusive. Is there any way to accomplish the same goal when the raster is attached as an FDO connection?

Hi CADTAG,
I happen to have run across this recently and found a solution:
Create a .layer file of the connection, then open the .layer file in notepad and add this text: <Opacity>0.5</Opacity>
between the <FeatureName> and the <Geometry> lines.
Then disconnect the FDO and load the .layer file. I use this to fade WMS images & it works well.
