Instructors: John Herridge, AIA and Andrew Lawton, LEED AP
Class Description: As society’s awareness for the need to develop more “green” buildings and infrastructures continues to increase, we must focus on how we -- as educators -- teach students to explore the theory and practice of sustainable design. This class will provide a high-level overview of the utility and efficiency of Building Information Modeling (BIM), methods, and tools in relation to sustainable design in architectural and engineering education. Join us for a look at the Autodesk Sustainable Design Curriculum that provides a pedagogical approach designed to guide a multidisciplinary team of professors in the business, planning, environmental, architectural, and engineering industries through a semester studio course on sustainable design concepts. Help prepare the designers, architects, and engineers of tomorrow.
