Instructors: Ken Hall, AIA, LEED AP, CSBA

Class Description: At Autodesk University 2006, Ken presented an overview of sustainability and its relevance to the AEC industry. In this presentation, you’ll get the rest of the story -- how to use Revit Architecture and related tools to design and deliver high-performance buildings today. We’ll review current capabilities of the Revit platform and look at informationmodeling techniques that can help achieve sustainable design. We’ll look at methods to document LEED requirements and measure sustainability performance, and explore a framework and examples of Revit sustainability content. We’ll also review capabilities of Analysis and Simulation tools that complement or interoperate with Revit in regards to integrated design and decision making. The presentation will conclude with an exploration of the potential for sustainable design systems to help AEC professional meet the needs of, and envision, our future human-built world.
