View Full Version : Roof Fascia
I have a house that has a Spanish Tile Roof. When I created the roof, Revit automatically added a flat fascia, that has spanish tile on it also. How do I change the material for just the fascia?
Also does anyone know where I can download some sweeps to use as fascias?
Thanks
Max

1) Use the paint tool to change the vertical face of the fascia to another material.
2) It is relatively easy to make a custom sweep. First, using the family editor, make a new profile family (be sure it is a closed loop) Then, back in the project file, load that profile into a a duplicate of an existing fascia family. Read up on a few of the tutorials and it will become a little more clear.
Thganks for the response. My problem is that I can not separate the fascia from the roof. They if I ghange the material for the fascia it chsnges the roof material also.
Thanks
I am still not able to get the Fascia to be a different from the roof material. I tried to make the fascia generated when the roof was made to a thickness of 0", and then add the flat 1X12 fascia that comes with revit. When I add this the fascia it is added perpendicular to the wall instead of paralell.
I really having problems with roofs. Does anyone know of a good tutorial on how to make a composition shingle roof, including adding materials?
Thanks
