Assign Space bar to pan?

Sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't seem to find the solution - I'm a long time adobe and tablet user and have always used the spacebar to pan - is it possible to assign the spacebar to this function in Revit? I went into the keyboard shortcuts menu but could not find a way to do it.

I have assigned one of the buttons on my tablet to pan but its just not as convenient as using the spacebar.

I bet a 3rd party program like AutoHotKeys would get you what you want. You should be able to use that to assign the space bar to function as the mouse middle button click.

However I'm not sure how that would affect the "flip" operation of objects where the space bar will flip and/or rotate objects 90 degrees.
