Hi,

Every time when I place beams in a plan, I can't see them!
I know the rules about the view range. I played a lot with it and also did a research at different forums to get an answer, but no results...

I did also make a new project with new settings and new created custom beam family (with the Metric Structural Framing - Beams and Braces family in Revit folder).
I can see the beams in 3D and sections, but never in the floorplans as it should be. If I enable an underlay, the beams appear very thin and grey, but that's not the intention...
The beams also show up as it should be ONLY when the cut plane is set on height where the beams are. Also that's not the intention, because it will screw my drawing...

Someone ever had the same problem? How to fix this?

make sure that your view Discipline is set Structural, sometimes it defaults to Architectural. This will usually fix the problem.

It's set to coordination (all styles). So that didn't help. discipline structural also didn't help...

I would say: try it? here is the file (1,85 mb)--> https://www.dropbox.com/s/abvgkgswusyffz1/beam.rvt
