This is driving me crazy cause I know this should be easy. Forever I've docked my properties palette and project browser stacked on the left side. Now they won't stack.
When I bring them over left they become tabs which I have to select one or the other. I don't prefer this. Is it still possible in 2014 to have them both open and stacked?(and docked)
Thanks

Yup. A little finicky but possible. Double click on any one of the tabs and that will separate the two palettes. Dock one of them. To stack instead of tab you'll need to drag the second one onto the docked one making sure that you put your cursor somewhere inside the palette, not on the title bar. As you hover your cursor you'll get a ghosted line showing you how it will end up.
Good luck. I'm still getting used to this as well.

Had given up on this till I saw Dimitri's reply.
I kept trying to stack the second pallette at the top, but now I found you have to drag the second pallete with cursor right to the bottom and near the middle to vertically stack. If the cursor is released too far to the left it will dock the palletes side by side
