Displace Elements - 2014

Hi just wondering if its possible to pull apart a single element in revit 2014 using the 'displace elements tool - say for example a wall has 5 components to it, each with an assigned material - is it possible to show and exploded view of just the wall element? Thanks.

I believe this functionality is available in conjunction with parts and assemblies as well.
(Too late to test tonight)
