Help with Color Area Plan

So I added a color to my color scheme for a tenant, it shows in the legend but it doesn't show in the properties of the tag where you change the area type...what am I missing here??

Make sure when you are in the COLOR SCHEME dialogue that you have selected what category you want it to color by. Keep in mind if you color by room name and all the rooms are the same, they will be the same color.
