Disapearing Sub Regions

Why in revit when you are creating subregions do they disapear after "Finish Sketch" has been selected?? I have had this problem multiple times today and have inspected each line carefully for proper joins in the sketch and to no avail has it mattered. Anyone else ran across this potential bug?

Yes, we have experienced the same problem with subregions. We have had some go into la la land where they kind of render, but they are not selectable nor deletable. This was in a Revit file with an AutoCAD site plan linked in.

They behave so badly when we have a linked AutoCAD file we have given up on their use and gone back to splitting the topo surface.

P.S. make sure that edges of subregions are not touching, they don't like that and will not be created.
