Hi all,
We do a lot of multifamily renovation work and I wanted to get everyone's opinion about using Groups vs. Links. For these projects we do a lot of the same demo work for all of the units in one building. For this reason, it seems that links for the units would be the way to go since the phasing can be dealt with once in the unit link and then loaded into the building file. If we were using groups, when we demo an element in a group it doesn't affect the other groups. I just wish there was a way to use groups AND have the phasing carry across the groups. It just seems a pain in the neck to have to leave the building file to go into the unit file. We have a lot more files to have to deal with, plus it is annoying to have the link unload anytime you want to open it (our current work around is to just open another session of Revit but that's sometimes a burden on the computers). Did anyone come up with another creative way of approaching this issue?
