dome ornament

I want to create some ornaments on a domed surface ... don't know how to do this ... I'm using revit arch 2013 .... attached a view to the surface

the best way to do it is to rely on texture maps. If you really want to make is a modeled 3D element created native in revit (other programs could do it easier), you could either create an adaptive generic component, or you could create a static model that you would model with curvature and place at an elevation above the floor at the proper elevation to coincide with the ceiling.

I second the "other programs could do it easier" and the "rely on texture maps".

What is your end goal? That could make the difference between deciding how to do it.

It looks like it should be a ceiling hosted family that creates a void and is a sweep around the void.

Now placing the ornaments - you could make a repeating detail.
