I am trying to convert a drawing from 2D to 3D. When I type "perspective 1" in the command line, or even try to do a copy paste to 3D new tab, a good portion of the drawing disappears. Does anyone know why? I have attached screen shots.

I discovered that it's taking the one section and moving it. If I move the section back, it works fine. However, I don't understand why it is moving it in the first place....

Z value different between the sections that appear to move, and those that don't?

So you are correct. Is there an easy way to change the Z values all at once?
I haven't drawn in ACAD in a very long time and I have been spoiled by 3D programs like Solidworks...where I can do things a lot easier!!!

That depends on what it is -- if a Pline, you can set the elevation to 0 (whatever the rest of it is) in the Properties dialog. If basic lines, select them all, and change the starteing and ending Z values en masse.

Try the command flatten.
