I am desperately trying to streamline the process of converting Revit files to .dwg to be touched up in AutoCAD. The screenshot attached shows the AutoCAD drawing. The white lines represent existing walls that should appear with a dashed line (they do in Revit and they do in paper space in AutoCAD). The yellow represent new construction. For some reason there's even a red line on there. what I don't understand is how these lines all ended up on the same layer. I want them on different layers so I can isolate a layer and remove lines I don't want.

How can lines of two different colors be on the same layer in AutoCAD? How can I make existing wall lines and new construction wall lines come into AutoCAD on their own layers?

I had this same issue a few months ago. I was completely confused on the phase mapping in the export settings. Here's the thread. It was extremely helpful.

Awesome all I ended up doing was adding the phase status modifier and that put the walls on different layers
