View Full Version : 2012 Revit Crash From Mouse?

Revit (Arch. 2012) is crashing over and over again, with no chance for saving recovery file. It seems to be caused by scrolling or zooming or dragging objects with the mouse, or maybe moving objects with the keyboard cursor. Has anyone experienced this?
It seems to be affecting only me in our office, and it just started today.

I installed all the latest hotfixes available from Autodesk, without any effect. (only a few are related to stability, and none mention mouse use.)

I am beginning to pull my hair out here, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Did you try a different video driver? Also look into disabling the Hardware Acceleration

Thank you.
I failed to mention I also tried disabling the Hardware Acceleration, also no effect.

The problem has gone away though, by reverting to a previous windows restore point. I don't know which of the new window drivers caused the problem, but at least I can use Revit again.

Consider moving to a newer version though

If that were up to me, we'd be on Revit 2014 already...

Believe me, I wish 2014 solved all my problems... ;)

Try updating your graphic cards driver as suggested by dhurtubise.
