Class Description: Approximately 50% of practicing architects are over the age of 45. The majority of these individuals graduated university before 1985 when CAD was in its infancy and BIM did not yet exist. The tools of the architectural profession were pens and pencils, rapidiographs and Leroys.

Fast forward to today and these individuals are the experienced and successful senior members of most all architectural firms. They have successfully designed, documented and managed dozens of projects and with retirement age extending, a 45 year old will be in the marketplace for at least another 20 years. Yet, in my experience, the majority of the over 45s do not fully understand the reason for BIM and almost to a person they themselves do not use BIM.
