I sure need help now. I have been trying to get the dynamic block working with different parameters.

The attached file (ET.dwg) 92883 is what I have. It has an attribute text and a hatch inside of the rectangle. My goal is to be able to pick the grip, stretch it and have both sides of the rectangle and the shading automatically stretch equal distances on opposite sides.

I was able to create a bracket to stretch automatically on both sides at equal distances, but not the ET.dwg. RICO did it here (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?50116-Maintain-the-insertion-point-whilst-stretching-the-total-length) with his "Test3.Dwg", but mine has a centered text and shading.

I have used a full and half length linear configurations, applied the 180 degrees for the opposite Stretch action, still it only stretches on the right side with the shading.

All my Google searches does not have any shading - mostly singular lines or boundaries. Hope someone would help me on this issue and I hope I am clear enough.

Thought I would find a YouTube video on my case to follow it.

Thanks in advance.

Your Hatch needs a Boundary to associate with and you need to Stretch the Boundary and not the Hatch.
Do not include Hatches in Dynamic Actions.

Yes my boundary has always have a boundary, but this time I only select the boundary. Thanks for that information.

However, I need to have the other side stretch equal distance and I feel I am missing an important step. I captured two 4mb video files I cannot attach for you to see what exactly I have been doing.

Your instruction worked but now I need to stretch the other side automatically.

Thanks for your time.

Just found what I was not doing from the Autodesk Discussion Group. I was not asigning the midpoint - it defaulted at "Startpoint".

CLSHADE, thanks for your time.

Case is now solved.

You are welcome.
I would have suggested the Midpoint here but did not follow what you had in the Block since there were so many Stretch Actions and Parameters.

Glad you found a solution.
