Nevermind, I did in fact find that one of the grip points COULD be moved, and once that was done, I got the usual format of multiple grip points/reset label location options.
I'm still not thrilled with HOW things are coming in, with the grip points not being in a good position relative to where the actual text is, but I'm better off than where I was earlier today.

I'm working with a new company, doing profile's for Utilities. The problem I'm having is, I cannot Drag the labels for structures drawn in profile so that they don't overlap each other.
Basically using the styles they have in place now for labeling structures in profile, all I can do is Drag the label along the Y-axis, up/down beneath a structure. I can't move it left/right at all. I only have 2-grip points, one for moving the text, the other at the mid-point of the bottom of the structure.
At my last job, we had modified a label style, so that a structure Label had a set Line.1 length. That Line.1, had a default connection point to the bottom of the structure. However, you could grab the label grip point, and drag the label up/down & left/right to where you wanted it so that the labels would not conflict.
You still had to draw in a line by hand connecting the label Line.1 endpoint to the structure, but the reference point that generates the elevations for the structure stayed on the structure no matter where you moved the label.
I have tried modifying the Dragged Label state, but all I'm coming up with is text that is rotated 90 degrees (instead of vertically) and is connected with a spline polyline. It still doesn't allow me to actually MOVE where the Label left/right in the drawing when I save/apply the settings.
Does anyone have a good step-by-step process to allow for label to be moved?
