Hi! I was working last Sunday on a project in Revit 2013. Worked all day and I dindn't make any save or any recover. By night, I was aplying final material to the elements, such as walls, floors, etc. suddenly Revit threw a message of "not responding", closed it hopping an automatic saving. It didn't happen! I opened Revit again to verify saved changes... my project appeared to be the same I had by sunday morning. the thing is, Does Revit save temporary files in a sup-folder so I could recover some of my work. If it does, please let me know. Or advise me about the way I could program Revit to make saves periodically, I mean, don't like see files like: project, project.001, project.002, project.003,..., and so on. It becomes to much weight to my hard disk capacity, doesn't it? thank you!

Sorry to hear you had to learn that lesson the hard way.
Revit only sets the 'reminder' interval, it will not, and never has had the ability to perform an 'automatic' incremental save. You need to hit the save button (ctrl+S).
You can set the number of backups Revit creates to whatever you like. 2 or 3 should be sufficient if you're concerned about hard drive space.
