I have some door and window CAD details that I wanted to Link onto a sheet but I dont see it. ???

Quick and dirty.....import CAD dwgs to a drafting view then compose sheet. A better practice would be to redraw the details in a Revit drafting view from scratch. Imported dwg's can carry garbage.

So you have linked the dwg's onto the sheet view but you can't see them or you can see them to link them in?
I agree completely with Brian.

If you insist on doing it this way and you have them linked already make sure you zoom to extents. Keep in mind that dwg files placed on a sheet view will come in full size and will need to be scaled.

Check your workset, make sure you have imported categories turned on for that view, import origin to origin and turn off crop view. I've also heard of people creating a generic family and inserting the cad file into it and then loading that family. Ignore the haters you gotta do what you gotta do to get the job out the door on time.
