I would find it useful to learn what issues and solutions others have come up with in order to minimize cleanup or other problems when exporting from Revit to Autocad.

Here are a few things I have learned to watch out for:

- Don't use long project names because the file names become too long for the computer to distinguish between the files. All files will be exported as the first file on the list. (hope that's clear)

-Avoid using white fill regions for blocking out areas in details because they will come out in the .dwg as black filled regions

- Choose a font that will look the same in Autocad (for instance my
ARch Titl font looks the same in Revit and Autocad, but my ARchitxt is substituted with another font so my notes run out of the keynote boxes)

For item B:

Just make sure you are using the latest build of Revit 7 (..or Revit 6).
Make your white regions by using "No Fill" as the fill pattern.

These will export only as line work to AutoCAD.

The factory default "Solid White" uses a solid fill pattern.

Not true... refer to this post (http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?p=87078#post87078). Nobody ever solved this issue for me...
(I think I attached a Revit project file in an earlier post on the same thread in case you wanted to check this...)

This only applies to annotation object. Not details or other filled regions. The current work around is to just draw the filled region or use a detail component as a masking object or leave the text as opaque and let the test do the masking.
