Aligning surface patterns

Can someone tell me how I can align the lines of a surface pattern? Please see attached.

Assuming they are a Model Pattern the clue is in the question, Align...the Align tool will let you align one pattern to another. :)

Use the align tool, hover over the pattern line, and keep on tabbing untill the pattern line is highlighted

Again, assuming its a model pattern, you can hover over the surface and tab until you can select a single line of the pattern and use the rotate tool.
