Create Alignment from Objects

I am trying to create an alignment from objects but Civil 3d won't add all of my curves and lines to my alignment. They are all touching so I don't see why they aren't included. Any suggestions?

Is it separate lines and arcs?
If so, try using PEDIT or JOIN to make the separate objects into a polyline, then try to create the alignment again.
