Adding extensions to guardrail?

I've been researching how to add extensions to the handrails in Revit. I found some great information which tells me to go to type properties and add extensions there. However, I'm using the railing called "Guardrail-Rectangular" and there is no place where to add extensions like there is under the "Top Rail Type".

Does anyone know if it's possible to add extensions if you're using the Guardrail? Thanks.

Modify your start and end post in your railing type to use a baluster family that matches your design/code issue.
